I apologise in advance. Similar to the old days when you were forced to endure slide nights after loved ones special events and holidays, you remember, the ones where the parties argued over the details, the slide projector got stuck, the slides were in the projector upside down and you were served cabana, cocktail onions (red & green) and cubes of tasty cheese stuck into an orange on toothpicks. Well, this reno is likely to be my slide night!
I did begin this blog initially as a diary record of what we did here and this exteno is about as relevant as it gets to that mindset.
Ok, second week in and we are ready have the slab poured. All concrete has been removed, new area marked out, pipework in place and sand and reo in place. The boxing is nearly finalised and spacers set. Pour is booked for Thursday, I am very excited about getting a much more defined ‘feel’ of the final spaces. So here is this weeks slide night! Grab a pickled onion and enjoy!.
And lastly a pic of the beautiful flowers at Bec & Andy’s wedding.
Hold on a mo, that slide was upside down!
Ha, Maree! Glad to see your sense of humor has remained intact during the process. 🙂

Made me laugh! I do very well remember those slide shows. Looking back, maybe fondly now. Love the pictures of your progress.

I laughed at the pic of Mr ATMT and your narrative of the rooms yet to be. I did the same when I built a house; pondered and imagined 🙂

Oh my goodness that is a big reno. I can tell you that we had slide nights JUST like that. We all sat through an hour of boring slides just to get a glimpse of ourselves old or young and they were gone in a fleeting moment ( and often upside down). So unlike life today where there are a million unwanted photos of our now not so young and attractive selves.

Those slide night were awful and everyone who held one guaranteed their slides weren’t as boring as the last. They were wrong!

Loved that last shot- that just about sums up your view of thw world- upsdie down and inside out. I remember a few tedious slide shows in my time- and pleading for mercy after one hour. Now people bore you shitless ( the only expression I can think of) with endless unedited digital shots of their holidays on computer screens. Mercy, no more. Yours do not fit this category- I love the progress reports of a good reno- especially since I have been there and know what stood there before. Best wishes Maree, and sorry for my tardy comments. It’s busy!
