We have put together a slideshow to display during the Gardivalia open Food Garden weekend (This weekend!). I must say I was a little bit overcome when I saw just how much we have achieved in such a short time. Part of me misses the overgrown, out of control mayhem but I know controls had to be done so we can recreate an overgrown, out of control appearance that is actually planned and controlled! Someone once said it takes a lot of work to make it look easy. I hope that’s what we are working towards. Take a few minutes to check out our garden story, I feel very proud! For the final vision of where it is now, come along this weekend!
Great photos and so much accomplished. J

I just have to say it again. You two are amazing ! I hope your weekend is just great and lots of people give you lots of great comments. It’s looking fantastic isn’t it. The photos are a great reminder of where it all began and where it’s going. I love it!
Hope all goes well. We may get Vel to deliver bromeliads for you. Marg

Oh, Maree! How beautiful and breathtaking it was to watch your “garden journey.” The love birds (doves?) in the middle of your slideshow said it all… nurturing and loving on each other… what a wonderful oasis you’ve created to live LIFE! Best wishes in the competition, xo.
P.S. I hear ya on “controlling the chaos.” 😉 You have every right to be proud.

Thanks Kim! The picture of those Corella (related to cockatoos) love birds was a last minute throw in, one of my favourites since we have been here. None of the kids like the music but I do, so pffft to them 🙂

P.S. I forgot to tell you how moving your background music was — the perfect piece for your slideshow!

Inspirational! I love the fact that you had a vision and worked hard to see it through to today’s beautiful oasis. All your backbreaking work ( and endless expense, no doubt)! has transformed the jungle into a wonderful garden. So glad you photographed it, it shows what can be done with perseverance and effort.
All the best for a great weekend. If I lived in the same state, I would definitely love to attend.

How wonderful! We are starting on a remodel and a garden at our 2nd home, hopefully our retirement home. There is a lot of work to be done and your pictures are inspirational. We also want fruit trees, a vegetable garden and room for chickens. Thank you for posting something so hopeful.

The clip was wonderful. I loved the music. It was perfect… After watching I feel like I’ve done a mini mindful meditation, plus gained some great garden ideas and tips… I know the G.O. will get to watch it as well. I agree with the comment about the work that goes into making something look easy. Yes. Afterwards. Hope you’re having a great weekend 🙂
